I thought had many dimensions to her, was rational but also you were able to understand her naivety. Such strong imagery was created with so many scenes in this book, it was incredibly vivid and I really liked that. It was strong, captured elements just right and meant I enjoyed reading the book even more. This was also helped by the good writing. Also, it meant I could enjoy the read for that little bit longer. By not spending through the book, I could savour the story and it made a whole lot of sense to do so.
It slowed down when times got intense and serious, but also kept it going so not to clump the book up too much. There was such a good pace to this novel. The theme, the way it was written and the character of Moonbeam all gripped me from the start and guided me through a wonderfully well thought out book. I think I started to love this book from the very beginning. She’s starting to see the lies behind Father John’s words. He knows what is right, and what is wrong. Especially about never talking to Outsiders.
I was immersed in the book from start to finish and found Moonbeam’s story amazing throughout.įather John controls everything inside The Fence. My friend recommended this to me, and I’d seen it quite a few times so thought it would a good one to give a go.
